The international scientific conference Economics of Digital Transformations (EDT) DIGITOMICS 


The international scientific conference Economics of Digital Transformations (EDT) DIGITOMICS gathered onsite and online 120 scientists from all over the world who presented their scientific achievement. Research were  thematically focused on the uncertain opportunities that characterized the year behind us. "Dealing with uncertainty" is the main topic of discussions related to the consequences of the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, as well as the current threat of inflationary pressures.

The aim of the EDT Conference is to address the challenges of fundamental changes of economic theory and practice, which comes through the process of digitalization as one of the most prominent global phenomena. 4th EFRI International Business Workshop
 

As part of lifelong learning program, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Rijeka, under the guidance of Assoc. Ph.D. Tomislav Galović, started on Monday, May 6, 2019, the 4th EFRI International Business Workshop, a five-day international program in English that brings together foreign students from the undergraduate and graduate level of studies.
 
The internationalization of Croatian faculties is a project of strategic importance, which aims to improve the quality and relevance of study programs, as well as the overall higher education. In the past ten years, a high degree of internationalization of European higher education institutions has been recorded, which has led to a significant increase in the quality of education and progress in the development of scientific research in most EU countries.
 
 
 
 

ALUMNI EFRI - BRAND AURA

EFRI ALUMNI members, Daša and Mišel Sirotić have been producing premium drinks, jams and chocolates from wild Istrian herbs and wild fruits for ten years, and they recently received two prestigious awards in London for their product from the indigenous terana variety.



 
 

 
The regulations encouraged the publication of more and more scientific paper -   Faculty of Economics in Rijeka leads the way when looking at authored books.


one of the goals of the analysis was to review the productivity of institutions. The average number of employed scientific staff from 2009 to 2012 was taken into account. LIFE Clim'Foot 
 
 
 The Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka has become the first higher education institution in Central and Eastern Europe to calculate its carbon footprint.
 
 

In order to establish a harmonized approach to calculate the carbon footprint, the implementation of the three-year LIFE Clim'Foot project " Climate Governance: Implementing public policies to calculate and reduce organizations’ carbon footprint" was started in September 2015 in five European Union countries - France, Italy, Greece, Hungary and Croatia. The project is coordinated by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME). The Croatian partner on the project is the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP). The Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka has been participating in this European LIFE Clim'Foot project since the very beginning.

International Summer School EFRI

The Faculty of Economics and Business (University of Rijeka) is organizing since 2005, the International Summer School entitled «International Environment and European Integration»
 
 


The goal of the EFRI Summer School is to broaden the knowledge of students of economics, law, political sciences, administration and other related studies on the economic integration process in Europe, and to point out the advantages and challenges of economic integration and business environment in everyday life.
