Course objectives

To acquire the basic economic knowledge about elements and processes in providing traffic services in conventional, combined and multi-modal transport.

The course program is in correspondence with the programs of all European faculties of economics, such as: Ekonomska fakulteta Ljubljana, Slovenija (Ekonomika transporta); Fakulteta za pomorstvo in promet, Portorož (Osnove transportnega in prometnega sistema); Fakulteta za gradbeništvo, Maribor, (Prometni sistemi); The Greenwich Maritime Institute, London (Economics of International Shipping) i University of Plymount, UK (International Logistics And Maritime Commerce).

Course content

The program contains the following thematic units: theory of transport, traffic and maritime; traffic policy; transport and traffic systems; forms of transport and traffic; logistics activity in transport and traffic; all multi-modal transport features; modern transport technologies, business policies of traffic companies and basics of traffic law.
