Annual Hanfe student awards for the best scientific and professional papers

The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) has announced an invitation to interested graduate students or students to apply for the competition for the best student scientific and professional papers as part of the "Annual Hanfa Award to Students for the Best Scientific and Professional Papers" for 2022.

In the papers, it is necessary to cover one of the proposed topics:

InsurTech – the potential for the insurance industry and its users
Decentralized finance - a threat or a catalyst for the development of financial services
ESG funds – leaders of sustainable investment?
Predictive analytics in forecasting trends and making investment decisions
Digitization and cyber security – challenges and opportunities
Sustainability of public finances in post-covid economic circumstances

The professional work is submitted in the form of a scientific article, in the form of an original scientific article, review paper or professional article. Papers submitted to Hanfa by 4:00 p.m. on August 31, 2022 will be considered. Papers received after the specified deadline will not be considered.

The three best papers will be awarded with monetary amounts of HRK 15,000.00 net for the best paper, HRK 10,000.00 net for the second-placed paper, and HRK 5,000.00 net for the third-placed paper.

The intention of Hanfa with this invitation is to further improve cooperation with universities and to encourage the student community to become more familiar with the developments in the financial markets on a practical level. In addition to the above, this form of cooperation will enable students to interact with the regulatory body of the financial services sector in the Republic of Croatia. Through direct insight into the processes in the financial services market, students have the opportunity to improve their own creativity and develop scientific research and reasoning skills, as well as upgrade the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies.
