The Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Rijeka (hereinafter: EFRI) is committed to protecting your privacy and to developing technologies that give you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Privacy Policy applies to the EFRI’s official website and governs data collection and usage.

Personal data collection

EFRI collects personally identifiable data, such as your e-mail address, name, home and/or work address or telephone number. EFRI also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique, such as age, gender, preferences and interests.

Moreover, EFRI automatically collects information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This data is used by EFRI to provide services, to maintain the quality of its services, and to obtain general statistics regarding the use of the EFRI website.

Use of Cookies

EFRI's website uses cookies to customize your online experience according to your needs. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued you the cookie.

The Purpose of Cookies

EFRI collects and uses your personal information to maintain the website and provide you with the services you are looking for. Your personal information is also used to inform you about other products or services provided by EFRI.

EFRI will not forward data to third parties. EFRI will not sell or lease user lists to third parties unless it has your permission. EFRI may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners regarding a particular offer that may be of interest to you. Such third parties will not be permitted to use your personal information except for the purpose of providing the respective services to EFRI and will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of data.

Personal Data Security

EFRI protects your personal information against unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted over a website, it is protected by encryption such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL). EFRI has not yet established a system of credit card payment.

Your personal information is kept on a server that can only be accessed by selected people and providers.
