Brief description of the project: The project activities are aimed at solving the problem of insufficient capacity of croatian non government organizations and negative trends in migration in the Republic of Croatia by proposing public policies.
Objective: to develop dialogue and strengthen the cooperation between NGOs, local (regional) self-government units, and higher education institutions in order to create a supportive environment, which will prevent further emigration and unemployment trends in Croatia. By conducting scientific researches and structured dialogues, project aims to create public policies, which will serve as a recommendations given to Croatian Government in order to nudge necessary reforms supported by both economical and socio-demografic measures.
Total value of the project: HRK 3,562,367.03, financed entirely through grants. Grants are provided from the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia (15%) and from the European Social Fund (85%).
Implementation period: 30.10.2020 - 30.10.2023.

Project "MC (migrational chalanges) - yesterday, today, tomorrow" aims to influence the solution of the problem of negative migration trends in the Republic of Croatia, especially the emigration of the younger population. Scientific researches will define the areas in which the necessary social changes are necessary to solve this problem that have been identified. Through interdisciplinary cooperation of NGOs, higher education institutions and local (regional) self-government units, six documents will be created that will contain guidelines for public policies in areas identified as keys for solving problems through the project. Public policy guidelines will be sent to the Government of the Republic of Croatia in order to contribute to the initiation of reforms and the adoption of new measures in order to combat negative trends in migration and employment.

During the project, numerous workshops, debates/panel discussions will be organized in order to involve the general public in the project, with the possibility of stronger involvement in the project through volunteering for all interested parties. With project website, activities and results of the project will be publicly available and serve as a basis for further progress in solving the problem of negative trends in migration and employment levels in the Republic of Croatia.
