The first Kastav hackathon as part of the Kastav Smart Start project

The city of Kastav has announced a public call for participation in the hackathon as part of the Kastav Smart Start project. The first Kastav hackathon will be held on June 2 and 3, 2022 in Kastav as part of the KASPI entrepreneurial incubator program and the Kastav Smart City event.

The hackathon is conceived as a marathon competition lasting 24 hours, in which the registered persons work as a team with the help of mentors to develop and present innovative solutions in the form of a feasible concept, using real available data and documentation.

The theme of the hackathon is "Smart and green solutions for Kastav", and participants can choose the following sub-topics: micromobility, digital democracy and innovative solutions for the old core. Groups with a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 5 members can apply, and priority is given to persons residing in the area of the City of Kastva or in the area of the cities and municipalities that make up the Urban Agglomeration of Rijeka.

For the first place in the competition and the best presented concept, there is a prize of HRK 3,000.00, for second place HRK 2,000.00, and for third place HRK 1,000.00.
