Career Week at University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics and Business

Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka and Career Center, in the period from 22nd to 26th of October 2018., organizes "Career Week”.

The goal of the event is to inform students about business opportunities, trends in the business environment and to connect them with potential employers. Because of that reason, Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka will gather all its partners from the economy world at one place that will. through different content, have the opportunity to present themselves to students, transfer their knowledge and experience, and also inform them about opportunities which they offer to them during and after their studies.

The whole week, experts from practice will talk about current economic trends with the students. Representatives from BKS Bank, Maersk Croatia, Tax Administration, Oktal Pharma, Primorska banka, Croatian Post and others, will, through interesting lectures, bring closer current business challenges which they face every day, transfer their practical experiences to students and inform them about employment opportunities.

Besides that, employers will present student jobs, internships, and grants which they offer to students.
All interested could find out about business opportunities offered from the representatives of the online set danasradim.hr or about internships from the agency IntegralEdu.

One day is reserved for associations CeKaDe, ESN Rijeka, STARTUP, Oaza, PaRiter and others which will to all interested tell more about their projects, volunteering and how to join them. Association Center for culture of dialogue (CeKaDe) will present the project "Food and community” whose goal is, with a recommendation of solution for the problem of insufficient donating and wasting food in the city of Rijeka and Croatia, including students in community work and their involvement in specific problems in the community. In the project, there are 78 students involved from the University of Rijeka, and with the project, there are 10 changes in the curriculum of 10 courses. This European project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund and the Office for Associations of Croatian Government, and one of the partners is the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka.

Career Centre of Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, will, during the Career Week, hold educational workshops about internships, writing a CV and job applications. The programme will be enriched by a student conference on the organization of the Centre and student association AIESEC which will be held on Thursday, 25.10. They will bring a representative from Lidl Hrvatska d.o.o., Erste&Steiermärkische bank d.d. and other.

The last day is reserved for those who are still thinking about student life - high school graduates. The Faculty has taught of a special programme for them with which they will how all the possibilities offer by studying at the Faculty of Economics Rijeka.
