Faculty of Economics and Business University of Rijeka (EFRI) organized the Scientific Conference: "Smart Governments, Regions and Cities - Economics of Digital Transformation"

The aim of the EDT Conference is to address the challenges of fundamental changes of economic theory and practice, which comes through the process of digitalization as one of the most prominent global phenomena. Therefore, the main goal of the Conference is to challenge traditional perspective on economics by acknowledging disruptive effects of digital transformation age.

 Our Faculty and the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb are the only Croatian members in the EDAMBA.

The Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka is a member of many renowned international associations and a signee of a series of bilateral agreements with renowned foreign higher education institutions. EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programs Association in Management & Business Administration) is an association of institutions offering doctoral education in the fields of management and business of high quality and scientific excellence.

LIFE Clim'Foot 
 The Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka has become the first higher education institution in Central and Eastern Europe to calculate its carbon footprint.

In order to establish a harmonized approach to calculate the carbon footprint, the implementation of the three-year LIFE Clim'Foot project " Climate Governance: Implementing public policies to calculate and reduce organizations’ carbon footprint" was started in September 2015 in five European Union countries - France, Italy, Greece, Hungary and Croatia. The project is coordinated by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME). The Croatian partner on the project is the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP). The Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka has been participating in this European LIFE Clim'Foot project since the very beginning.

International Summer School EFRI

The Faculty of Economics and Business (University of Rijeka) is organizing since 2005, the International Summer School entitled «International Environment and European Integration»

The goal of the EFRI Summer School is to broaden the knowledge of students of economics, law, political sciences, administration and other related studies on the economic integration process in Europe, and to point out the advantages and challenges of economic integration and business environment in everyday life.
