Jean Monnet Chair: EU business policies and contemporary challenges of European integration

This Jean Monnet Chair wants to improve the knowledge of students on EU related topics in 3 BA and 5 MA courses; create a space for dialogue between the institution and the student community on the important EU related issues; promote research and debate on the European Union, develop some of the skills needed by internationally qualified professionals such as: communication, teamwork, collaboration, conflict resolution. All this will be achieved through preparation activities, implementation and final activities. Implementation activities will include lectures, classes, workshops, visit to key Croatia monetary and political institutions and other actions taken to achieve the objectives of the project.

 

The Chair is based on next courses: Macro-system of the EU, Economy of the European Union, European business environment and EU common policies, EU Business Policies and the Internal Market, Doing Business on the EU Market , Economics and International Trade Policy, Regional Economic Integrations and European funds. Students will be the biggest beneficiaries of the project and they will be able to understand the different aspects of the European integration process and EU policies; capable to demonstrate transferred knowledge, skills and competencies. We want to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies; generate knowledge and insights in support of EU policy-making and strengthen the role of the EU within Europe and in a globalized world; reach out to a wider public and spread knowledge about the EU to the wider society (beyond academia and specialized audiences) bringing the EU closer to the public.
