Mentors of the future - a program for mentors on professional practice

As part of the EU project "Increasing the employability of students through the improvement of the Center for careers and development of professional practice - CEZAR", which is sponsored by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, the Career Center EFRI organizes a workshop on the topic "Mentors of the future - a program for mentors on professional practice".
The program will be held on February 18, 2022, starting at 9 a.m. via the Zoom platform.

The aim of the workshop is to empower mentors to transfer knowledge and competences to students, future colleagues and new professional practice mentors for the purpose of developing a culture of professional practice and mentoring.

In addition to the opportunity to transfer knowledge to potential future employees, mentoring has numerous advantages for the mentors themselves and can be an opportunity for them to build new relationships, review their achievements and leadership skills.

The workshop is designed as a one-day program and participation is free.


Workshop program:

1. Introduction to the implementation of professional practice

2. Getting to know the role, tasks and obligations of the mentor in the process of professional practice

3. Methods of learning, teaching and motivating students

4. Determining the goal and content of the professional practice implementation program in the company / organization

5. Communication with the student

6. Student evaluation

About the lecturer:

Andreja Bogdan, graduate psychologist, professor in psychology is a clinical psychologist at the Polyclinic and Department of Psychiatry of the Čakovec County Hospital and the president of the Croatian Psychological Chamber and a member of the Croatian Psychological Society. During her rich 30-year career, she received several recognitions and awards for her exceptional contribution to the work and promotion of the profession. She organized numerous scientific and professional meetings and published a significant number of scientific and professional papers, as well as created a large number of professional education programs.
