Online workshop on LinkedIn business network

As part of the EU project: "Increasing the employability of students through the improvement of the Center for Careers and Development of Professional Practice - CEZAR", which is carried out by the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka, the Career Center organizes an online workshop on the LinkedIn business network.

LinkedIn is the most popular business social network used by more than 600 million users worldwide. It serves for job search, connecting with the business community, but also much more than that.

In order to better present to students all the possibilities that LinkedIn offers, the online workshop is divided into two parts: for beginners who have yet to learn the basics of this social network and for those who already have created profiles but want to learn how to brand.

First online workshop - April 14, 2021 (Wednesday) starting at 4 p.m.

WORKSHOP NAME: How to use LinkedIn as Gen Z- tips and tricks for beginners

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: LinkedIn is becoming more and more popular in Croatia. While it used to serve only as an online CV, today it is a social network that has started to develop rapidly in our country. Although many younger Millennials and Gen Zers think it is a network for business people and that they have nothing to do there, it is far from the truth.

The time to jump on that train just like a Gen Zer is right now, and in this workshop, you will learn how to do just that.

The workshop is intended for beginners and is divided into three parts:

  1. How to make a profile that will set you apart from the crowd?
  2. How to network well and find a job?
  3. What to publish and how to use the algorithm to your advantage?

Second online workshop - April 28, 2021 (Wednesday) starting at 4 p.m.

WORKSHOP NAME: Now it's my turn - Generation Z branding on LinkedIn

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: While LinkedIn as a network is finally gaining in popularity in Croatia, time used the platform for personal branding. Although many students think that LinkedIn is a network where only business people are branded - this cannot be a more wrong opinion. A personal brand is one of the greatest values a person can have, and it is built since college days. Regardless of what you want to do in the future- entrepreneurship, work in a corporate sector, or an NGO, a personal brand is something that no one can take away from you and that you always carry with you, regardless of your change of position or career. With the growing popularity of LinkedIn and its (still) good algorithm, you have a platform of opportunities that you just need to know how to use for yourself.

The workshop is intended for people who already have an open profile on LinkedIn, but want to successfully brand themselves through it.

It is divided into three parts:

  1. Me as a brand: What to offer and how to present myself if I am still a student?
  2. Why am I my content creator: How to create content and what can it be?
  3. Algorithm is (un)known: Tips and tricks for viral content

The number of participants per workshop is limited, and applications are accepted until the place is filled via the ONLINE form available HERE. In the case of a larger number of applications, a waiting list is created.

Note: The workshops are intended exclusively for students of the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka, it is possible to participate in only one workshop or in both.

All active participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the workshops.
