Student Conference Social entrepreneurship the challenge of modern society

Social entrepreneurship - the challenge of modern society is the topic of the Student Conference at which on Thursday 9.6. In 2022, starting at 10 am, we have the opportunity to talk to practitioners and theorists of social entrepreneurship in Croatia, but also in the EU.

Doc. dr. sc. Dejan Miljenović, professor at our Faculty, will look at the connection between social entrepreneurship and the reduction of social inequality.

Research associate of the Ivo Pilar Institute, coordinator of the European Network for Social and Solidarity Economy and manager of the Cooperative for Good Economy dr. Sc. Dražen Šimleša will explain to us through theory and practice what social entrepreneurship is and in what forms we find it.

Ivan Božić, who left his managerial position in a respectable company to work with marginalized groups and in 2020. became the second best manager of social enterprises for labor integration in Europe, will tell us about the management experiences of the Social Cooperative HUMANE NOVA.

Davorka Vidović, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, will explain how the "one punk association" - Act Group managed to generate 6 social enterprises that operate successfully on the market, by presenting the Case study of the Act Group Social Entrepreneurship in Transition.

Goran Jeras, the manager of the Cooperative for Ethical Financing, will tell us what the Cooperative for Ethical Financing is and how far or close we are from the establishment of the Ethical Bank.

Our alumi Romina Dekleva Grgurić, B.Sc. father and Sandra Bujančić, B.Sc. oec. will tell us what student cooperatives are and how one was organized at the Mijo Mirković School of Economics in Rijeka
