Student visit to companies on the island Krk

As a part of EU Project: „Increasing the employability of students through the improvement of the Center for Careers and development of interships– CEZAR." which is carried out by the Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka, the Career Center organizes a study visit to companies on the island of Krk.

A visit to JANAF-Terminal Omišalj and Gospoja in Vrbnik is an opportunity to connect students with companies that offer internships or jobs. The aim of the visit is to provide students with an insight into the company's business, the challenges they face in their daily work, the interesting aspects of the projects they work on, employment policy and corporate relations, and to tour the company's premises.

The visit will take place on April 29, 2022. Participation is free and includes bus transport Rijeka-Omišalj-Vrbnik-Rijeka, lunch and a guided tour of the company.

On the day of the visit, the gathering is scheduled for 8 a.m. and the return around 5 p.m.

The number of participants is limited, and applications are accepted until Friday, April 22, 2022 or until all places are filled. In case of filling all the places, a waiting list is created. Upon completion of applications, the Career Center will inform participants, as well as those on the waiting list, of further steps.

JANAF's oil and storage system was built as an international oil transport system from the Omišalj Terminal to domestic and foreign refineries in Southeast and Central Europe. The Omišalj terminal is located on the north side of the island of Krk near the town of Omišalj and serves to receive, store and ship crude oil and petroleum products to users of our transport system.

Gospoja is one of the most resounding names in Vrbnik. They are synonym for family entrepreneurship, quality and dedication to work. Agricultural cooperative Gospoja-Toljanić is engaged in wine production, hotels, catering and prosciutto production.
