The University of Rijeka organizes the first university sailing regatta "Student Fiumanka". The regatta is conceived as a sailing competition for students and employees of the University of Rijeka, which will take place from Tuesday, June 7 to Thursday, June 9, 2022 as part of the "23rd Fiumanka". . In the year when Rijeka was declared the European City of Sports, the wish is for this regatta to become traditional.
Participation in the regatta is available to all students and employees of the University of Rijeka. The organizers provide all crews with an experienced helmsman, so participants do not need to have special prior knowledge or experience in sailing. With this way of organizing the regatta, participants are offered the opportunity to experience sailing and acquire sailing skills through teamwork.
The regatta will be held over three days as a cup competition in which the winner will be decided in the final competitions on the last day of sailing after adding up all the achieved results. They will sail on four monotype sailboats. The number of crew members is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people. Prizes are awarded to the first three teams, and the best will be awarded the "Studentske Fiumanka" transitional trophy.
Like all other regattas within Fiumanka, this program is completely free for all participants.

8:00 – 10:00; participant registration
10:00; meeting of the helmsman
11:00 – 19:00; 6 qualifying sailings are planned (depending on the conditions)
June 8 (Wednesday)
11:00 – 19:00; 3 qualifying races and one small final repechage race are planned (depending on the conditions)
June 9 (Thursday)
11:00 – 17:00; 3 final sailings are planned for the winners in the groups and the winner of the small final (depending on the conditions)
